Thank you Megan for sharing your story! I have been in a marriage for 23 years with a covert narcissist. I know I can say the first 20 years were so confusing and traumatic but I had no idea what I was dealing with. When I finally heard this term and started researching and reading books and listening to podcast the dots were then connected for me to form the picture that I needed to move forward. I moved out in January 2018 although I’m right down the road in a rental. But I have been healing and I to suffer through a lot of the PTSD that have been doing a lot better for the last several months I did work with Craven, counselors clinical counselors in one man that is a psychologist and counselor and he also studied herbology. And even though I was doing yoga and traumatic release exercises I could not shake the panic attacks and waking up in the middle of the night with my insides shaking. He told me to start taking rhodiola rosea which is an adaptogenic herb. He said 500 mg in the morning and 500 at night. I only do the 500 at night. But it is completely safe and natural from what I’m being told and my experience with that since for many months along with the detox from my ex has been phenomenal. He says it combats those cortisol surges. I am sleeping through the night for the most part. I’m waking up calm. This is enormous! I don’t know if your address to send your book but could be an idea for the future… You could talk about your faith and relating to your marriage or leaving. I stayed so long because I felt like I had enough Faith to stay and God would heal this. But I think the reality is I didn’t have enough Faith to leave. Since I’ve been out I know my Lord Has Come Close. And he has been a wonderful father, counselor, provider, husband, Etc I can’t figure out how to reread this comment so I hope there aren’t a lot of typos.

It shouldn’t say Craven it should say grief and Trauma counselor. And it should also say I don’t know if you addressed this in your current books but could be an idea for the future … about writing about your faith and how it relates to your decision to stay as long as you did or your decision to leave. I know Jesus doesn’t waste anything we’ve gone through.
