Food As Medicine

With Danielle Omar

[frm-entry-edit-link id=current label=”Edit” page_id=71]

In my past I have used food to cope with my anxiety, depression and even trauma. It was when I did a “clean eating detox” with Danielle Omar, almost 12 years ago, that I saw the connection between my trauma and food habits. I realized that food affects mood and stress levels in both good and bad ways. In this conversation Danielle and I talk about food and the nervous system and brain, why we eat like we do, and how to consciously use food to regulate mood and begin using ‘food as medicine’.
